is a vital part of any 4WD recovery kit.
It should be the first choice of all
recovery equipment when preparing a 4WD.

WINCH
STRAPS
Winch
straps are designed to be used when extra
rope length is needed for winching
operations. Made of non stretch synthetic
webbing, winch straps are available in 5,
10, 20 and 30 metre lengths with a break
load of 4500kg. Each strap is 50mm wide
with reinforced eyes at each end. Warning:
Winch straps must not be used as
Snatch-um-straps. |

TREE TRUNK PROTECTORS
When
winching or anchoring to a tree, a tree
trunk protector is vital to protect the
tree from ring barking and to protect the
winch cable from unnecessary wear. Tree
Trunk protectors are made of high strength
non-stretch webbing and are 3m long x 75mm
wide. The straps are 12 tonne breaking
strain and feature reinforced eyes. |

SNATCH
BLOCKS
Snatch
Blocks effectively double the capacity of
the winch. They are also useful in
recovery situations where the winch the
winch anchor point is not in a direct line
of the vehicle winching direction.

DRAG
CHAINS
Hi-tensile
4WD Drag Chains are ideal for assisting in
winching applications and the removal of
fallen trees. The 5m long x 8mm wide chain
is fitted with a grab hook and lug link.

HI-LIFT JACK
One
of the most versatile items of recovery
equipment, the Hi-Lift jack with its
1000mm lift will provide a means of
lifting the vehicle to aid recovery. In an
emergency situation it can also be used to
remove the vehicle from an empeding
obstacle by attaching a cable at each and
using it like a hand winch with the rated
capacity of 3600kg. |

AIR
JACK
Australian
designed and manufactured, the 4000kg
lifting capacity exhaust operated air jack
is ideal for use in muddy or sandy
situations. The Air Jack is attached to
the exhaust and uses the exhaust gases to
inflate the bag. Deflate the airbag by
releasing the valve on the hose unit and
the gas is slowly released, lowering the
vehicle at the desired speed. The
Air Jack must only be used as an aid for
vehicle recovery. It should not be used as
a 'garage' jack for vehicle maintenance. |
